Volunteer opportunities

No, while some of our volunteers may have varying levels of equine experience many do not. We appreciate that everyone has a special talent and volunteers with a wide range of skills are needed to aide our mission.

A few of the types of volunteers needed are:

• Session and Junior Volunteers who assist the instructor by walking beside the horse to aid a participant while riding. And maybe provide a little encouragement and boost of energy!
• Administrative volunteers to help with fundraising, photography, writing our news letter, marketing, PR, and office help.
• Equine assistance is needed from adults and Junior Volunteers in the form of barn help, and the feeding, conditioning, and grooming of our horses.
• Professional skills such as electricians, carpenters, grounds keepers, veterinarians, lawyers, and caterers for our events.

There are many volunteer opportunities for anyone and everyone. If you are interested in being a volunteer, please contact us with your particular area of interest and your availability and we will be happy to meet with you and discuss the endless possibilities. Please download the Volunteer Information Form and Release Form, and please complete them prior to your first visit. 

Volunteering is limited to open barn hours. If you are interested in volunteering, please contact us and we will set up a time to meet. We schedule volunteer hours according to the availability and need. 

Yes! We do not have childcare, but you are welcome to bring your kids. Although, please understand that they are your full responsibility and you must keep an eye on them at all times. 

Absolutely! We encourage local youth groups to be involved in this community ministry. 

Children need to come for at least the first few times with their parent, so that together we can evaluate their readiness to work independently without their parental involvement. 

We appreciate your desire to share your time, skills, and attention with our horses. However, our program involves many children and adults in direct care and training with our horses. Our horses get more than enough daily exercise and training.
