Rebuild Our Field Of Dreams
Blissful Dreams Rescue Ranch is where our horses help heal hearts, minds, and spirits. Our mission is difficult to achieve due to the condition of our facility and more specific poor drainage that leaves our field often under water and unusable for our herd.
It is so important for horses to have access to fields because spending prolonged time in their stalls leads to mental and behavioral concerns; stress and boredom manifests in behaviors like weaving, cribbing, and stall walking, confinement leaves our herd feeling isolated reducing the opportunity for natural behaviors like grazing which negatively impacts their mental health well being. And physical concerns such as colic due to lack of movement causing gut motility to slow.
Horses can't be in wet fields because it can lead to a host of health problems such as thrush and white line disease causing lameness, hoof abscesses caused by bacteria entering through cracks, retracted soles (thin-soles) causing pain and lameness, and weakened hooves which can crack and form abscesses. Exposure to bacteria in sitting water can lead to respiratory infections, rain rot (skin infections and hair loss), and mud fever ( lameness and pain in the hocks).

Our Mission
The mission of Blissful Dreams Rescue Ranch is to share the love and gospel of Jesus Christ through therapeutic horseback riding and animal related activities for children and adults struggling with psychological, emotional, physical, and relational challenges while using formerly abused, neglected, and abandoned horses and dogs.
Our Program
Children, as well as adults who feel they don’t have a place in this world, are welcomed into building a special relationship with a special horse. Blissful Dreams provides an accepting environment that helps to develop friendships, build self-worth and establish purpose in each individual. “…horses consistently share qualities of God.
